New Forest Summer Saturday "Healthy Walks", take place on the first Saturday of the month:- 6th July (Matley Heath), 7th Sept (Acres Down), 5th Oct (Franchises Lodge). All start at 10am. Lasting approximately 1.5 hours. Might be muddy so strong shoes or walking boots advised. All welcome, no need to book, free of charge. "Healthy Walks", lasting approximately 1 hour, often attended by several club members, take place every 2nd and 4th Wednesdays commencing at 10.30am from the Tern Hide Car Park, Blashford Lakes. Bring binoculars if you have them to check out the bird life from the various hides.

Ringwood 'Good Neighbours' provide lifts to important appointments for those unable to drive or catch a bus who live in the BH24 area. If you need this service please ring 07933 202112. This phone line is answered between 1000 and 12000 Monday to Friday. If you would like to volunteer to help please ring Mike O'Brien on 01425 474395. A small charge will be made. If you are able to become a driver or offer other help please contact Mike. Never any pressure to take a job if it's not convenient. The Ringwood Carers Group was set up to support Carers who look after their loved ones and provide a place where they can have a little time to themselves. They have a Dropin Cafe at the Trinity Centre, Ringwood on the second Thursday morning

Tool Aid Ringwood is a charity formed to collect and refurbish usable tools, sewing machines, computers, bicycles and other items which are then sent to developing countries to enable people to escape poverty. The charity, SafeWise, who gave a talk to the club in February, are running 'Dorset Driver Gold'' courses to help people aged 65+ drive safely for longer by enhancing their driving skills and confidence. The 3 hour theory session costs £10 with breaks and refreshments included. Practical sessions cost £45 and last up to 90 minutes. Following receipt of booking form and payment you will be given details to arrange your drive directly with an approved driving instructor. SWIMMING and AQUA AEROBICS at St Ives Primary School, Sandy Lane, St Ives, Ringwood, BH24 2LE. An appeal to local residents, regardless of age or ability, is being made to support the schools newly refurbished and reopened indoor swimming pool. The pool will be open on THURSDAY 20th June for a trial session, for an Aqua Aerobics class at 4.40pm - 5.10 pm, cost £5, and a general swimming session, intended just for adults, from 5.15pm - 6.00pm, cost £4. It is hoped that there will be plenty of support for this fantastic local amenity, for which the school has worked extremely hard, so do please come along. This is a superb opportunity to be able to give something back to the community, whilst benefiting from a spot of exercise. Regular sessions will be arranged according to demand. Bookshelf is the theme for this years RMDS Summer Show which takes over Greyfriars from 23-27 July.
As usual there will be three shows loosely based on the theme, with energetic performances from the (mostly) young cast. There is a licensed bar and the famed Greyfriars canapes during the intervals, and tickets are the same price as they were back in 2012 - great value and a great night out!
